About your Pet Nanny

I have over nine years of experience in the veterinary field. The majority of my career has been working as a veterinary technician with orthopedic, neurologic, and cancer specialists. I come highly experienced when it comes to geriatric, diabetic, seizure prone and critically ill patients. Prior to school I worked as a kennel technician and volunteered at local animal shelters.

In all my years of caring for animals, whether it be in shelters or vet hospitals, one thing I've learned is that all the animals would much rather be at home. They feel more comfortable being in their own environment, with sights, smells, and sounds they know best. When left at home, they are certain their owners will return. When they are left elsewhere, they often become anxious and depressed because they are surrounded by strange people and strange animals. Our pets are family members; we love them and want them to be happy.

I have never seen my job as work. As long as it involves animals, I will always view my job as a blessing. To me, animals are gifts. They don’t care how we look or how much money we have. They give us limitless affection, to-die-for loyalty, unconditional love and are truly my best friends. To have a job that offers benefits like that…. Who needs a 401K ? To sum this all up, my life, has, is and always will be, loving and caring for animals.

So when you’re away, “Home Sweet Home” is where your pet can be; safe and sound, loved and cared for, happily greeting you when you return to their “Home Sweet Home.”

I'm a member of The Center for Great Apes, ASPCA, National Wildlife Federation, Jane Goodall Institute, Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and Riddle's Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary. I also volunteer at Primarily Primates in San Antonio.
